The 3 year old son of Tobougg was a very week 2 year old with being born in the May of 2007, he has strengthened up and matured well over the winter, we look forward to seeing him on the track over the Summer

Pooka's Daughter owned by trainer Julia Tooth foaled a lovely chestnut colt by Lucarno last night. Lucarno, standing at Wood Farm Stud, Shropshire is having his first foals this year and so this will be one of the first ones born. Pooka's yearling last year by Avonbridge sold for 14,000gns to Richard Hannon.

A very useful three year old on the flat with Mark Tompkins has spent the last couple of years in the wilderness due to injury and not really being in love with the jumping game. He is lightly raced for his age with only 14 races overall with only 8 on the flat. It is hoped that he will give Shropshire Wolves some fun this Summer having rested at Kinsale during the winter.

Dr Mathias, owned by Shropshire Wolves went back into training today down in South Wales with trainer David Evans. He was claimed last year as a 2 year old after winning at Ffos Las. It is hoped that he will make up in to a nice three year old as he has plenty of substance and has not had a hard time as a juvenile. We wish Shropshire Wolves all the best for 2010.

Fantastic news to lift the moral of Kinsale Stud as Wood Fern has his tendon scanned to see if it has healed after a career stopping injury...... and it has!!

All the hard work and dedication of all at Kinsale Stud has paid off as thanks to the use of our new “ZAMAR” machine Wood Fern has made a full recovery and will return to training with Donald McCain in June 2009.

We would like to thank Wood Ferns owners The General Mens Racing club for their continued support of Kinsale Stud and wish them the best of luck with him in 2009.

Purchased by Kinsale Racing, the grey 2 year old bought for just £5000 beat the Godolphin horse Wolgan Valley bought for $1,45 million and the third and fourth horses costing £130,000 and £150,000 respectively! Following a one, two, three for the trainer Mark Brisbourne at Chester three days after Haydock Brisbourne was quoted as saying "It started with Secret Asset (at Haydock) and l think he is the quickest two-year-old we've ever had".

Secret Asset, owned by the Kinsale Racing partnership was placed 3rd yesterday at Musselburgh up in Scotland. Beaten by just a shorthead and half a length Secret Asset lead most of the way and was headed within the last furlong on good to firm ground over 5 furlongs. Jockey David Allan was very pleased with him saying that he is is still green and will come on again for the run. Rose Siog, first time out, won the race for Richard Fahey after being backed heavily into 5/2. Secret Asset rewarded each-way backers coming in at 13/2.

He has come out of the race well and the day was enjoyed by all syndicate members.
